Mango farming thrives in deep, sandy loam soils, while heavy black cotton and alkaline soils should be avoided. Ideal soil pH ranges from 5.5 to 7.5. Planting typically occurs between July and August in rainy areas, with irrigation recommended from February to March. Optimal temperatures range from 22°C to 27°C, with 50-80 mm of rainfall ideal for cultivation. Seed sowing requires temperatures of 20°C to 22°C, while harvesting is best done at 28°C to 30°C. Prior to planting, plough, cross-plough, and level the land to prevent water stagnation. After levelling, conduct deeper ploughing and divide the field into blocks. Plant sticks in the center of the dig, ensuring they join other plants 15cm above ground level. Irrigate immediately after planting and provide support for upright growth.
